A Commitment to Growing
The objectives of the HSWA Association are:
To ensure that the allotments and the allotment site itself shall be kept in good condition and managed in a sustainable manner
To further the best interests of gardeners and gardening on the site
To ensure that the terms of the Lease with Leeds City Council are followed
To ensure that the Leeds City Council Allotment Rules are followed
To encourage the use of organic gardening techniques
Meet our Elected Officers
Our Association is managed by a group of volunteers who form our Committee. In addition to our Committee Members there are three elected officers who hold the following roles:

Expectations of All Plot-Holders
All plot holders, old and new, agree to maintain and cultivate their plots to a good standard
- keep the plot clean and tidy, and free from weeds
- keep the plot in a good state of fertility and cultivation
- maintain paths are kept clear and well maintained/paths between plots are cut by plot holders
- cultivate in a way that does not interfere with the enjoyment of neighbouring plot holders
- make sure at least 60% of the allotment is cultivated and the remaining 40% used for sheds, grassed area and flower beds
